I am trying to put a person into a 3DS scene on a plane. I have a QT video with an alpha channel (rendered as million+ RGB alpha). I placed the video on a material and set alpha source to Image Alpha and premultiply alpha. I have played around with the other setting, and I still get the person on the plane with a gray plane around them. The gray plane won't go transparent.

try draging a copy from your diffuse map to the transparency map ,that's the only way I've been able to get transparency to work.

I dragged the map from the diffuse color, down to the opacity map and made a copy. It did not seem to do anything.

I got it figured out. I went back and re-rendered my original alpha video with a b&w copy to use as the alpha (opacity map). I had been using the same video for the diffuse and opacity maps.

Thanks for your help
