Materials Question

Hi,
I'm trying my first and very simple 3DS Max project. I was able to make some chrome material and apply it to my model. When I open up a new project my new material ball I created isn't shown in the materials pallet. Is there a way to save it so I can use the chrome with other new models I may create in the future?

Thanks,
Jim

Yes -
Open up your chrome ball project - in the Material Editor, there's a "pick from object" item - pick the material so that it shows up in the pallette. Then send the material to your materials library (there an icon for it under the pallette) and save the library. It will then show up in the library the next time you start Max.
