Bones missing from my animation????

Bones missing from my animation????

Hey all...this is sort of a 2 parter.

First, Max isn't my specialty, but I know a bit about it.

I modeled a charcter, added bones, skin modifiers, edited the envelopes, added an HI solver and animated the legs (spider). Well, I didn't add a point helper to move it so I went back in to do that and link the bones to it and presto, I cannot locate any of the bones. I don't know what I did, but they are not there. It still works, and when I go to the skin mod they are there, named like I named them but I can't go into the select by name and find them. It's driving me CRAZY! There are no groups...I don't know what to do.

So anyways, another thing is I have the legs moving properly but I can't find a way to move the entire spider without the damn goals from the solvers staying put to the ground. What can I do??? Anything?

I'm using Max 6 BTW.
