I need to bend a drilling riser around and read in MAX8 help about animating a mesh with a spline via Physique.
Great! Added the modifier, added the line (spline), animated the vertices, and the riser undulates.
But it won't render!!!. I see it move in the viewports. It previews. There is a Render/Viewport toggle in the Physique rollout, but Render doesn't make any difference.
As it renders, the first frame is just repeatedly rendered. Rendering frame 0-120, the riser is straight and stays that way for all the frames. Render 60-120 and the riser is bent, but all the frames rendered from then on are the same as frame 60.
