Hi, I've just bought my new mother board, ASUS p5n32 sli Nvidia680i. I will be running two nvidia quadro fx 1400 cards in SLI mode.
I am writing to ask if firstly, will an SLI setup dramatically improve my scene rendering times on alternate-line rendering? I have been lead to believe that it will almost double the speed in many occasions.
Secondly, my new motherboard has a third x16 PCI slot for a Physics card.
Do these physics cards have any use beyond realistic computer gaming. Can they help in 3D rendering, e.g. lighting, or simulation on MAX, such as Havoc?
