Making 'Teamgeist' 2006 Germany Worldcup Approved Ball

Hi All.

I wanna make Teamgeist with 14 panels. - 6 propeller type panels and 8 turbine type panels. I have no idea where to start. please help me.

As ever, there are a few ways to do this. Things to look at are:

Shape merge on a sphere

Create shapes, extrude/bevel then Conform to a sphere

Make it as a spline cage (use a sphere as ref or to snap to) and use surface modifier to mesh it, then bevel out polys.

If these terms are alien to you, look in the help or do some basic tutorials on modelling.

And if you animate it.....remember it swerves like crazy ;)
