Guys, how can I make solid text in 3DS Max (and primitives)?
I really want to know because I can make an effect but the
primitives and text show hollow (empty) when these disappear
gradually. I'm using the particle system to transform a text in
dust but I don't want the interior of the letter to seem empty.
What technique I can use for that?
Check your Normals to make sure they are pointing the correct direction first. Then you'll need to cap the mesh, and manually edit the mesh to fix any errors. Lastly when you assign a material to the text makes sure you have checked the "2 sided" option.
how are you making the text? Is it a Max text shape or an imported file? Sounds to me like it's not extruding correctly. Check at the shape level that it is closed and no repeat segments etc. You can use shape check to do this.
