I'm interested in whether or not I can apply some sort of map that will influence the direction of the lines in a procedurally created wood texture. For instance, is it possible to create a greyscale image that will control the direction of the noise?
Any suggestions would be great. Thank you for your time and help!
Hmmmm Good question since Ive never really used the wood Proced/ Texture to often.. I have used Darkling Simulations DarkTree shaders and any of the wood textures had ways of doing what you seem to be looking for...Give em a try heck its free!!!!!!! and looks nice...http://WWW.Darksim.com
