I am trying to figure out why when I render to fields, the edge of my coffee cup renders small black specs. When I turn off 2-sided in the materials editor it renders fine.

Thanks,

Todd

Hi Todd.

Do have video color control active, while rendering? This shows areas with colors witch are not in the NTSC/PAL colorspace by blacking them out.

Maybe thats the reason.

Hi,

I had checked that and it was not selected on. The material in question has an opacity map, and when I turn that map off the problem goes away. But I need the map and I am not sure why it is doing this.

Weird!

Thanks...

you might need to flip the normals of those particular polys
