So are you saying that you stacked your favorite material on top of the existing one? If so then I would suggest that you use the script "removeAllMaterial" or also known as "NoMaterials" in your scene and re-apply your material to your objects. Depending upon your version of Max, forgive me here, I believe it came with Max 6 and now the newer versions. If not it was available for older versions from I believe http://www.scriptspot.com

Give that a shot, and let us know what happens.

Do you know how to remove a material? If not then I suggest you look in your Help - user reference.

yes sir, i do know how to remove material. of course, i does my homework (pressing F1 & searching google) before asking.

to anyone who has been reading this: i had problem wif mapping. as e materials looks diff although i remove e previous ink&paint material. Since e sphere works & e cube doesn't.... i decided to apply MeshSmooth to the cube (Iterations=0). So i would say 'trick e program' this time.

thanks to all who offered help.

Cheers~
