It's been year since I've posted on the Cow. Hope everyone has been well!
I am in the finishing stages of a five part documentary film series about an unsolved serial murder case in Massachusetts. Each episode runs 80 to 90 minutes. This is a self-funded project, and we are looking to finish it before pitching it to potential buyers. We think it is most appropriate for Netflix, HBO or Amazon. We have been showing nearly completed rough cuts of parts one through four to various people here and there for feedback. That being said, because they're people I know, I am always worried that they're not giving me their honest opinions for fear of hurting my feelings. Can anyone suggest an avenue we could take for raw, honest feedback? Are there professional reviewers for something like this?
My last documentary wasn't nearly this massive in scope, so this is uncharted waters.
