I am wondering if Apple motion could be a usefull tool for animation of technical presentations, could it be used to make animations of the communications between servers or network equipment ? Any comments?

I'm not a 100% sure of what you want to do. But take a look that these videos I did in Motion

Virtual Stage

And of course my Kinetic Type tutorial

Hope this helps and best of luck.

I would say: Yes.
Compared to other animation applications Motion is quick to learn, and fast to work with.
It doesn't have all the advanced functions of AE, and it is not true 3D like Cinema 4D, Maya etc. But for what you are asking I'm sure it will be great because of its ease of use.
And at $50 it's by far the most bang for buck.
