Randomise Text Colours

Hi,

I'm looking to make a motion title template in either motion 3 or motion x where each of the individual text characters are random colours.

I've tried putting a randomise parameter on the face property of the text, but that will only affect the whole word, not the individual characters.

By selecting each letter I can apply a different colour separately, and then set a randomise parameter to each resulting style, but I'm not sure that will translate when I have titles of varying lengths.

Does anyone know another way to achieve this?

Cheers,
Jason

P.S. Sorry for the spellings of randomise and colour, I'm writing this in PAL.

Never apologise for spelling words correctly ;)

If anyone else has this problem, Mark Spencer tweeted this to me:

"use sequence text behavior, crank up loops and variance (variance in 4, X not 3)"

Works great, thanks again Mark!

Cheers,
Jason

Another thing that works (if you want it to animate).

-Apply a sequence text behavior.
- Add the Face color for the text.
-Apply a Randomize parameter behavior to the Face color in the Sequence Text behavior.
-Set the following:
Sequencing: Custom
Spread = Number of characters in the text.
Direction: Random

For the face color I found a dark gray as a good starting point, I'd then set the Randomize Apply Mode to Add and Subtract.
