Hi everybody!

I've got a brand new MacBook Pro 15'' with a 2 Ghz Core i7.
When I use Stabilize or Match Move behaviors only 38% of the processor is used.
When I render it goes to 64-69% (still too low imho).

How can I make Motion and the whole FCS use all the processing power of my Mac?

Thanks!

Sime answer is that you can not. It works the way it works. You just have to live with it like the rest of us.
Maybe new version if motion will do this better.

I don't think you have wasted your money, you will for sure render things quicker than someone on a lower spec machine. No software will use 100% of it's power, i think it is misconception to think it does. You need memory and processing power to run your operating system and what ever else is running on your computer. I think you have a nice machine and it will serve you well, buying the computer is always an investment and in my opinion a good one. Think about how much less time you will need to sit in front your computer to see your results, bearing in mind that in most cases you will need to render your project.
Good Luck.

Sorry about spelling errors earlier, i was sending answer from my Iphone

You're right, I actually see a great difference from my old mid-2009 MacBook Pro. This is more responsive, it boots up faster, it renders faster and I can finally use MagicBullet Looks without having to render to see every change I make. I just wish that in the future software like Motion are going to use more of the power you give them :)

Don't forget that Motion does all its heavy work using the GPU, not the CPU.
