I`m not new to CC, although I don`t post much.
I run a small production company. We have a small inventory of <100 items (DSLRs, mics, etc.) and around 10 people who need to use the equipment. I`m looking for a software solution to manage the 'rental' proces, with a calendar for each item to be 'reserved' for specific job dates etc. Often it`s hard for me to track who was the last person using a piece of equipment or to divide gear between camera operators when multiple jobs occur simultaneously.
Do you guys use any specific software? How do you handle this?
Studio Suite x has extensive booking, tracking and inventory stuff in it. It's basically a custom interface on top of Filemaker Pro. If you are handy with Filemaker, you could "roll your own", but really, why bother?
