Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a music supplier that I can pay for CDs, then use the music as I want, without having to worry about licensing each second etc.
It doesn't have to necessarily be super top quality or anything, just to fill in backgrounds for short spots, bumpers etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Simon

Yup - we use SmartSound quite a bit! They have a nice interface where you can "customize" the cuts to fit a specific length. Also, many of their newer CD releases are layered so that you can separate and mix individual elements in the music.

Holy crap, I sound like a commercial for these guys... I should be getting a PAID!

But I'm not :)

Production is fun - but lets not forget: Nobody ever died on the video table!

Pond5.com

Both have a pretty wide selection of music available as a "buyout"

I agree with others posted here, Smart Sound. I also have a library from Stock20 with some great stuff, lots of variety.

http://studiocutz.com/ Surprised no one mentioned them. Complete buyout, good selection...what's not to love?

We use Firstcom. They are expensive but every time I evaluate other options I always come back to them for the selection and the type of music we like. They have discontinued CDs and now have a web based search engine which is quite clunky to use.
