Does anyone have an excel spread sheet template they use for writing proposals, that calculates totals. I'd be grateful if you could share one with me. Thanks

I've got a simplified version of the bid I developed for my company that runs on File Maker Pro; write me off-list if you want it.

In my opinion, a database is superior to spreadsheet for bid applications.

Best regards,

Thanks for the offer Leo. I'm really looking for something that I can use in Excel to just complete quotes for projects. Any other thoughts?

Are you asking for a listing of the items involved in production, or help in using Excel?

Best regards,

Leo

Greg,
I use this for my event video side of things: http://asvideoproductions.com/stuff/ASProductions%20-%20Price%20Calculation...

If you want, I can customize one for you.

Not sure what kind of file this is. Couldn't open it. Also I'm very cautious about opening .exe files from anyone I don't know. Can you show me a PDF? Thaks

Hmm...Its an application that I developed to calculate prices. Not sure how I can create a PDF of an application. Perhaps a screenshot?

Not really looking for a new application. Just wanted to work in Excel. Thanks anyway. I can't believe nobody else does this!

Most of us use programs like Quick Books or FileMaker to do this. Databases are just much better at these tasks than spreadsheets.

That is why no one is offering an Excel spreadsheet template.

Check out http://www.mwp.com/books/budgeting-financing/video-budget.php4 from Michael Weise Productions. The book is a great resource for rates and he has Excel spreadsheets as well.

go to this website to find the Excel forms you seek.

This is a Canadian form for TeleFilm Canada, but it works great. You can work it to any size production.

Good Luck
