I'm thinking of buying a Dell (or similar) "Tablet PC" and using it with a USB UA-101 Edirol box and a Mic to capture voiceover. I have Audition CS5.

I'd like to use it to scroll the narration text in MS word at the same time as recording with Audition.

Maybe toggle between the programs with Alt-Tab or whatever the tablet PCs use. This combo would take up much less space and eliminate fan noise.

Has anyone tried this with success? Will these programs work on Windows 8?

Hi Charles -

While I don't think you'll have any problems with Win8 (both Audition and MS Office work fine on it), you might possibly run into some granularity issues with touch control on the Tablet PC (lack of fine control). Anyone with experience in this should weigh in here.

You can definitely scroll the Word document using the AutoScroll option:

But it's not quite as good as teleprompter software, of which there are many free versions available:
