Noise cancelling earphones under $50?

Not sure what forum topic this should go in, but here goes.

I'm looking to get a nice pair of noise cancelling earphones under $50 that would block out somebody playing music not even 10ft from me, to be used with my desktop. Anybody have any preferred brands or have any of these themselves? I know I'm pushing it at under $50, but just wanted to see what's out there before picking randomly on Amazon. Thanks!

http://www.amazon.com/Koss-QZ-99-Noise-Reduction-Stereophone/dp/B000051SD1/...

I bought these 8 years ago and they have pretty good sound for music, a volume knob on the headset, a stereo/mono switch in the cable and there still for sale. And they block out loud sounds well.

Bookmarked, thank you, I will definitely check those out. Do they really come with a lifetime warranty and free replacements?

I'd be careful with the Koss headphones - it says right in the copy:

"Ideal for use with racing scanners and metal detectors"

That would scream to me "not likely to be any good". But Steven has a positive take on them, so I may be wrong.

Here's my take on a good set, although they're not noise cancelling, other than the fact that they're closed muff headphones:

I purchased a pair recently, and love them! I've used them to monitor levels when field recording with my Tascam DR-40, and I use them when I'm editing voice-overs with Adobe Audition. For the price, the quality is amazing! Plus the cable to the headset can be disconnected, and it comes with a short, 50 inch cable and a long, heavy duty 11 foot cable, plus an adapter to give you quarter inch stereo capability if needed.
