 | Time Stretching Distortion Issue

Hello!
So, I'm currently using Adobe Audition 3.0, and trying to slow a piece of music down to 200% of the original track. The time stretching function achieves this, but I lose a lot of the audio quality of the original track. The track contains multiple instruments and vocals, and the distortion is especially noticeable in the sound of the drums.
Is there an effect I can apply to eliminate some of this? Or perhaps another way to stretch the track that preserves the original track's quality? I would greatly appreciate any feedback!

Don't know if this will help but,
http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/
is what was used to create the Justin Beiber 800% slowed down viral track. It speeds up files too. Just remove the effects to get a more normal sound.
It's worth a shot.
