From reading past posts I gather that Audition cannot successfully remove audio thumps when they occur during conversations. Is there a program that can do that?

Thanks
Dave

Don't understand that. In Audition 1.5 or 2.0 it's easy to use the spectral view, draw a little box round the thump, and delete it. Then replace it with thumpless nearby audio if you want. I'm pretty sure there is a tutorial on the Adobe site showing this method. I regularly use this method with plosives caused by voices too close to the mic.

Ozpeter is absolutly right I think you were confusing the removal of ambiant room echo but using the singel click removal tool in the spectral view is the way to go for something like this ... The cool thing is that in 2.0 they have added a lasso tool that will really make it even better .......... WILLIE
