Lisa OlshanskiQuicktime Thumbnail on web page
by on Sep 17, 2013 at 12:48:41 am

I am a video editor. I just delivered a Quicktime to a client for use on their web page. They said that QT generated a thumbnail from the video for use on the webpage but they want to choose a different thumbnail. How do they do this? Is this something that I have to set in Quicktime or do they do it on their end. I don't know anything about web design so sorry I cannot be more specific about anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

hello...

since it's not clear how the movie is embedded on their site, it's hard to provide detailed suggestions, but you might want to look at this page:

hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply. I ended up setting a poster frame in QuickTime and I think that worked because I haven't heard back from them!

Quicktime is a surprising choice for web video.
