Any ideas what I'm missing to cause the footer on this page to reposition incorrectly?
on Aug 23, 2012 at 10:47:33 pm

Hi all, had a go with the dreamweaver forum as I've created this site with dreamweaver but no luck on there so putting it out to the web design forum...

I have an issue with a footer on my website.

I am not sure what I have done but the footer on this page is not in the middle where it should be whereas on the rest of the site it is fine. Can't seem to figure out what I have done to make this happen but thought I'd post it here to get some ideas back?

cheers in advance.

Hi Curtis

Wow that's odd then. I'm viewing on internet explorer 9 on a windows 7 PC. Even on chrome and safari its the same.

Its the words © COPYRIGHT CASCADE PICTURES 2012 that I want centered on the screen along the "film strip footer", but on all my browsers its coming up on the far right?

hello...

oh - ya. that text is aligned right. "footer" was a bit vague... :-)

looks like you can just set the text-align property of the #footer element to "center" and then dump the 350px padding on that and the h3 within it and it should center right up. but i will note that's just a theory and is untested...

yes sorry about that, I hadn't explained the problem very well.

That has solved it, taking off the padding. I think i placed that padding there before for another and forgot about it. taking it off now centers the text.

Thanks again

Jeremy
