Content Management Systems

I'm new to web design. And I was wondering someone could give me some pointers about CMS.

Do I have to build my webpage in wordpress for example or can I build it in dreamweaver and implement a CMS?

I'm currently building a website for someone who will need to upload pics and videos on their site. But I don't want to be constrained by wordpress or other CMS software as the website needs to be bespoke.

The simplest way to change visuals in a Wordpress theme is to find the related CSS file, backup first, and mess with it to your satisfaction.

Dreamweaver can preview your Wordpress site locally, but you need to install/configure a local server and database, like WAMP. Not very difficult, once you understand what you're doing.

I hope this helps.

I work for Marketpath CMS, a CMS focused on ease of use for non-technical individuals from small organizations. Uploading video and photos is simple.

When outside designers use our CMS, all we require are Photoshop PSDs with layers. For more info, check out
