im creating my portfolio website and i want to do an image gallery im so close but cant figure out one thing.
i used the galleriffic jquery plug-in. i currently i have thumbnails and when you click them you get the bigger version of that picture.. but i want to be able click the thumbnail and get multiple big images for just that thumbnail that you clicked. does anyone know how to get to that step?? thanks!
Most galleries that I'm familiar with use a single large image primarily but some can be adjusted easier than others to accommodate what you are looking for. Though I'm not familiar with Galleriffic http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/
when I briefly look at it's suggested construct shown below, I see the main larger image is pulled from the href value of the a tag. This doesn't seem to lend itself easily to doing what you're asking for. <div id="thumbs">
<ul class="thumbs noscript">
<a class="thumb" name="optionalCustomIdentifier" href="path/to/slide" title="your image title">
<img src="path/to/thumbnail" alt="your image title again for graceful degradation" />
(Any html can go here)
... (repeat for every image in the gallery)
I've personally been more impressed with http://spaceforaname.com/galleryview
This will allow you to have multiple bigger versions linked from a single image in the film strip. Just make sure the images are the right size.
Another work around might be to construct multiple images into one image.
the gallery you posted isnt exactally what im looking for
this is the code i have right now:
and i included a jpeg of what my wire frame looks like:
currently its set up to where you click the arrows and its scrolls through the thumbnails.. i want
if for example this page is dedicated to logos i made i want the bottom thumbnails to be 1 picture of each different project and when one is clicked on the larger version of that logo is shown at the top followed by arrows to scroll through to look at the different version of that logo
