Dear Friends Who Know Flash for Web Design -

I'm teaching myself Flash. If you take a look at our homepage you'll see that our main image isn't centered or full sized on the page:

http://www.bluecabinfilms.com

Is there an easy way to adjust the image so it's nice and large on the screen, like this: http://www.ipad.com/

Many many thanks!

hello...

well - you can adjust your params in your flash embed code in the html - currently they are:

'width', '1024',
'height', '768',

however, you will have the bigger issue that not everybody runs their web browsers at that ratio (1:33 to 1)...so with that in mind, if you make your flash movie 100% wide, your content could end up overlapping the height available or not taking up the whole space...

hello...

well - that's not flash - it's just a static image forced to those dimensions via css... :-)

what you want to do is handled pretty nicely in this tutorial:

hope that helps!

hello...

[Deborah Esquenazi] "I feel silly!"

nah - don't. but you can always view the source of any page to get a feel for what is underneath - best way to learn... :-)
