CSS/Javascript Help

Hello.

I am in need of a bit of help with my site and I do not know much CSS or Javascript and the problem I need solving needs someone who can obviously do this.

What I have isa page with lots of videos on in a long list, but what I want is for people to click the video link, then the video to pop up in the main fram on the left after clicking the video. (see picture below)

Also because the list is getting fairly large now, is there also a way to make the video list have a scrollbar, preferable one that matches the same colours as the site?

Thanks to all that can help!

hello...

you can either do frames or overflow divs. this is very old, but it explains how to change a frame's url from another frame via javascript:

http://www.irt.org/articles/js015/index.htm

as for overflow divs, you can learn a bit here:

http://programming.top54u.com/post/HTML-Div-Tag-Overflow-CSS-Style-Scrollba...

the concept there is that it's all on the single html page (unlike frames), but you apply a height to the div via css and then any content that is greater than the height gets the scrolbar treatment. then you can just change the innerHTML (or do a src swap or something) of the div that has the movie...

hope that helps!
