Hi folks -

I got a report that my site is not loading in Safari. It works in IE, FireFox, and Netscape, but in Safari, when I go to the site, it just tries to download the html page instead of show it. It behaves as if the page is a file for downloading, not viewing.

My site is: http://www.allbetsareoff.com/

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Aharon

Wow - I've never seen this - Maybe Curtis has -

Safari seems to try to download the files on the site instead of displaying them in the browser. I don't see anything in the HTML code that would cause the problem there, and I don't think it's a problem with Safari as it doesn't happen with any other site (that I've experienced). My guess is that it is an issue with the server the site is running on (Apache site settings or something).

Try contacting the server administrator and letting them know the issue.

Abraham

Fixed. This is what they did:

added this to my .htaccess file:

# AddType x-httpd-php .html .htm
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .htm .html .php5 .php4 .php .php3
.php2 .phtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .htm .html .php5 .php4 .php .php3 .php2
.phtml

Cool - yea that looks about right to what I was thinking. Wasn't sure if there was something else that needed to be undone in the Apache settings as well or not but I'm glad it got figured out.
