restrictions on using .org or other prefix

Not sure if this is the right place to post!?
Basically client wanted .co.uk, which is already in use, along with .com & net (although a company doesn't exist with the same name). I think someone was watching while my client was searching for it's availability, resulting in someone asking for

way back when, the domain folks tried to limit org domains to non-profits and the likes, but that didn't really work so well...so no - there are no legal limits or anything for a company that wants to have an org domain... :-)
