Help with cross-browser spacing
on Jun 14, 2005 at 6:12:02 pm

Hello all,

I'm seeing different space results in IE6/windows than every other browser on this page:

Specifically, the descrptive paragraph above the images, and the contact information on the right hand side
are too high in IE and look fine in Safari, IE5.5 mac, Firefox, etc..

Any help is appreciated, the style sheet is embeded.

can't find the specific element that's causing this, but it seems like you've got some css that is conflicting with other bits - the sidebar being absolutely positioned, for example...

ie tends to respond to placement and margin specifications more than other browsers do - so i'd guess that somewhere in there you have a width/height or margin tag that other browsers are ignoring but that is causing issues in ie. i'd suggest trying to remove a lot of the unneeded css and perhaps do more of this in traditional tables.

sorry to not have a smoking gun, but i'd have to experiment with the source for a bit to figure out what it is... :-/
