When I try to go to Cayman graphics from velocity it crashes the program. I can open it up on my desktop but not in velocity. Gives me a dps.exe error and shuts down. Is there a solution to this? I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall but still does same thing.

Not many people used Cayman Graphics with Velocity. Most people stuck with the older Inscriber or upgraded to Inscriber Titlemotion. Which version of Velocity are you using as the newer versions all used Titlemotion.

A lot of people just used the Inscriber software from an old version of Velocity. The only trick is you have to put a "dummy" file in your Velocity folder called vapront.exe. All you do is open notepad, then save an empty text file and give it that name. Then put that file in the same folder as the dpsnle.exe file.
After that, find the icg.exe file (the inscriber executable) and launch it once. It will open briefly then close since it's a plugin. It should then be associated with Velocity and should be available to you from the gallery.
If you don't have an old version of Velocity, you might be able to download an old 7.x copy of Velocity from the Harris site and it be included in there. There are detailed instructions in this forum as well as on the DPSedits forum on how to find, login and download from the Harris site.
Here's what I remember from memory...Google Harris Premiere to find the site. Once there... click on BCD support and that will take you to the login page. If you don't have an account, create one (it's free). Login, then on lower left click "download software." Next hit "editing and news"...then "legacy products" (or something like that), then "Velocity" and all the software ever offerred for download should be available to you.
We tried Cayman Graphics once briefly and just found it quirky, and the output wasn't as clean as inscriber.
Inscriber CG was bundled with Velocity 7.1. If you have the 7.1 setup CD, use it and select "Custom Installation"; than you can select which component to install. Select Inscriber only, and the job is done. Note: After Saving each title, Inscriber will crash, but you won't have any problems, titles will be added to the current gallery.
BTW in my opinion the Basic Inscriber CG (v.3.5) isn't much better than Cayman Power CG; Titlemotion (4.x) is much better, but requires a chargable upgrade (it was very expansive and I think it isn't anymore available).

With Inscriber, if you hit "save as" and save your titles as .icg or .tga file it eliminates the crashing. You have to then collect the files into your gallery since it doesn't automatically place them there.
