Hello,

I have been using Pan and Zoom in Red (as AvidFX) and it is awesome. I couldn't find any information in the help about the three deflickering settings:

Reduce Flicker 1-2-1
Reduce Flicker 2-3-2
Reduce Flicker 1-1-1

I have two questions:

-What is the difference?
-In what occasions shall one setting be used rather than another?

And finally, one additional question: is it ok to leave "Reduce Flicker" always selected?

Thank you for your explanations!

Nicolas

Nicolas,

These three options are in reference to pull-down/field-duplication for interlaced/progressive material, and the one you will want to use is dependent on the format of the video you are using. If you are running Progressive footage, then you can go with the 1-1-1 option or dis-engage this function altogether. Keeping this function on at all times is fine, but this function will add time to the final render.

What kind of footage are you using?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your answer. Actually As it is Pan and Scan filter, I am generating media from still pics. I generate progressive footage.
