BCC 8 Particle Emitter 3D - Problem or just how it is?

So I finally figured out how to get BCC Particle Emitter 3D to use my graphic as an emitter with an alpha channel.
So now when I put my graphic in, simple text .psd 1920x1080, which takes up most of the frame, the text I mean and put the PE 3D to it, the emitter looks as if its a 1/4 or less of the original size. Now I know I can bring the emitter forward with the Position Z (I think, not in front of me at the moment) slider and bring it back to its intended size, but why isn't it the same size to begin with?
