I want to map my extruded shape with a picture.
I use the texture menu set to source layer (picture added as take), then the preview window becomes red, vegas (10c) stops responding & i have to shut it down manually.
What are the solutions to map a shape?

This should not be happening but I would not add the picture as a take. I would add BCC Extruded EPS to the actual picture as an event. You can get strange results when adding FX to empty events, which use the project dimensions, and then adding takes which may have other dimensions.

Also make sure that your display drivers are up to date and that you are using the latest BCC 7.0.4. BCC7 uses OpenGL acceleration so having good OpenGL drivers is important.

Thanks again John! I add the effect directly on the picture event and no problem.
By the way, how to map a different picture on the front and back of the extruded EPS as the only choice for texture is "none" or "source layer"?

Use Texture File instead of Texture Layer. You can map a different texture to front, back, side, and bevel.
