How to eliminate the image of a ball in Boris Red?
on Nov 5, 2008 at 1:48:39 pm

Hi.
Today is my first lesson about Boris Red 4 and I am very happy.
However, I am feeling sick because when I start the program, I always see the same image: a ball.
And a wall...
Could you please help me to eliminate these images in Boris Red?
I would like to see a blank square.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings from México.

Hi,

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the application. It's a very powerful and comprehensive toolset and there are many free tutorials available on our web site at http://www.borisfx.com/tutorials.

So, to prevent the football and brick wall from appearing every time you launch, you need to set a preference. Here's how:

• launch RED
• go to edit>preferences
• click on the behavior tab
• enable the "Start with Empty Timeline" function
• close the preferences window
• exit RED
• relaunch RED - viola - no more football!

One thing to note is that the football is the only proxy image that is in the application and for this reason, if you create a new shape track, it will show the football. Obviously you can change that immediately by setting the media to solid color etc.

I hope this helps.

Peter.

Hi, Peter.
Thank you very much for answering to me.
I really apreciate your time.

Of course: the ball and the wall have disappeared.

Gracias, amigo.
