Boris Red screws up mpegs
by Brendan Bailey on Oct 3, 2008 at 5:52:20 pm
I'm having an annoying issue with Boris Red. It seems that when I import mpeg video files, Boris does not play all of the video frames in the right order, resulting in strange choppy videos. This has happened on several occasions, but does not happen with every mpeg I import - some work just fine. Any info or a fix to this problem would be appreciated, thanks!

Is this happening when you use the standalone RED application or in the plug-in? Or both? If it's in the plug-in, can you tell me what host application you are using?
I've actually not heard of this issue before but if you would like to send me a sample mpeg where this is happening I'd be happy to take a look at it for you. If the file is larger than a few megs then you might want to send that to me via ftp. There is a utility that you can use for this purpose called yousendit.com. You can send that to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
