In BCC DVE if you rotate video on the Y axis, is there a way to make it slide along sideways on the image's own X axis?

So you need to make the slide along the rotated image axis or the comp axis? The BCC DVE filter will operate on the local axis of the image to which it was applied, taking into consideration any other transforms that were applied within the filter, so if you rotate the image using the DVE filter then the X axis will become rotated also. Options for getting around this are to stack a second instance of the DVE filter and use the second filter to control the slide. Or you can use a compositor such as RED to do this work, placing the clip that has been rotated into a container and controlling the slide using the containers' DVE controls.

I hope this helps.
