I'm just beginning a project shot on XDCam, which I'm new to. I'm told it was shot @ 1080p 50 Mb/s. In my bins the footage shows this info (and HD422) but also says the Data Rate is 7.1 MB/s. That seems low to me since SD DV is 3.6 MB/s. Was this footage imported incorrectly before it was sent to me? I have XDCam Transfer, but my DP did the transfer.

DV is 25Mbit so that data rate is exactly correct for 50 Mbit.

Yeah, isn't the modern age of highly efficient codecs wonderful.
And there's AVCHD which, at 24Mbps, is even smaller than DV.
