I have a corporate client that wants to use an Allman Brothers's song as part of an inspirational internal presentation. I am aware of all the pitfalls of this practice and have tried to explain the ramifications to no avail. My question is, how would I even begin to acquire the rights to the music if the client is willing to pay. I have heard a lot of negative stories about long waits and huge amounts of money. Any advice would be appreciated.
