Working with a corporate client with a slender-ish budget. We are being asked to depict the international "connectedness" of business today. We can sell international for interiors through art direction and casting, but the exteriors are more budgetarily problematic.
I'm wondering what people would recommend. I see that we have a few options.
a) Hire locally in each port a shooter for a day, and give him boards depicting the type of shots we need.
b) Buy stock footage, though I'm loathe to do this as I would like some level of consistency.
So, which would you do?
Finally, is there a resource for "the best cityscapes in each city" so that you can literally send your shooter to a certain spot to grab the shot you need.
Interesting. We had this problem last year and it actually became more cost effective for us to travel across Europe rather than buy stock. Though of course we needed specific shots and we were able to service some other clients during the trip as well. Call me at 312-861-999 and I would be glad to see if we could help you out as well.
