I have been in the business of photography and video for 20+ years. I do wedding and video and photography and I also produce commercial video. About six years ago, I had someone create a website for me. I did not get any search engine traffic and it is not very creative. I am highly disappointed with my website. and I am ready to have it redone. Can anyone give me advice on how to plan out a great website that will look great, encourage people to call me and click on work, and Since I offer Photography and video for weddings and events, as well as commercial production, what is the best way to lay out the site to portray all the services I offer,

You are in the same position your clients are in, when they come looking for a video production expert. I say, hire an actual pro with design skills and inform them, collaborate, but trust their judgement.
If someone asked you to give your tips on how to make their video better, instead of paying you to just make the better video, you might help out a *little*, just to be nice, or you might get insulted and tell them to get out... either way, though, a client with a few of your tips isn't going to do as good a job as you yourself.
If I could re-phrase you question, it might be:
How do I go about finding a pro web designer that also maximizes traffic to the sites they build? The three letters, SEO, for search engine optimization, are part of that. You're looking for a combination web graphic designer AND SEO specialist.
