Hi. I made a post where the "less than" character in a piece of code in quotes, which resulted in the paragraph text after that character disappearing on the forum. The full text shows up when editing, but when posted, it doesn't.

Actually, it seems a bit more complicated, for just this "<" doesn't do it, but the code I wrote did.

I changed the text to code text to make it show, but I thought I'd alert you to this issue. Clearly code is meant to be set as code...

Actually, I'll put the same piece of code here:

Does my text show if it contains the string "Math.abs(A-B)

Ok, so it disappears.

Hello Kalle,

Yes, the less than character is a special character in Web pages and is used to write code. If you look at the note above the post boxes it says: "Note: The following are HTML characters and may cause parts of your post to disappear if not used correctly: < > &".
