Jeremy GarchowNot getting all response emails
by on Feb 19, 2016 at 12:51:45 pm

Lately, for the past month or so, I haven't been getting email responses.

Here's an example post that never came to my email. There are many others.

Thank you,

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

That is very strange. I have seen this before, sometimes emails do get lost in the void of email processes. This particular email seems to have been sent out, and received a notice that everything was okay from your email service provider. Perhaps check your spam folder for the message. Be sure to mark Creative COW email as important and not spam to help them get to your inbox. Your email provider may have dropped the email somewhere in its system, as it looks like our mail system handed it off with a confirmation that everything was okay.

Thanks.

I look in SPAM, but it's not there. I will keep flagging the ones that I don't get, although, sometimes it's hard to do as I don't get them. :)

To check for posts which you have been emailed about, you can try in your messages list. Go to https://my.creativecow.net/ then click on the messages link right above your feed. This should show you posts which you were emailed about, but may have not received an email.

I'm at a loss at what to do here besides change my email account, which I'd like to try and not do.

I tried to ask Google what to do about it, but it's a bit of a brick wall.

Is there anything else I can try to do?

didn't get this response in a recent thread: https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/335/88247

Is there some setting I could change that would be akin to "trashing preferences"?

I know that this is obvious, but I don't know if you've tried this two-step process: creating a filter for the creativecow.net domain, and if your email client permits, moving it to the place in the stack where it gets read first. (Some clients that's the top of the list. Others it's the bottom.) It tends to be the default that new filters are read first, but it's worth checking.

fwiw, that's what it took for me.

Can't see how to change it in gmail (the latest edited filter goes to the bottom).

But, it's as if the message never arrives. The message is no where. It's not deleted, spammed, or moved, it simply never existed.

The email did exist until it was sent to Gmail. I've tracked these emails and they are sent to Gmail and then they disappear. They did exist; Gmail is simply choosing to drop some of the email. There's nothing we can do about that on our end, except for us to send less email, which isn't really an option for us.

Thank you.

Funny enough I didn't get this response.

What do I tell Gmail support? "I'm not getting all my emails from creative cow" doesn't get me very far.

Also, they ask for the headers of the outgoing email. Is that even possible to retrieve from your end?

Is this even worth it?

You can grab the headers off of a received email from your Gmail dropdown > "Show original". We don't keep a record here. I would go with Tim's solution. Maybe with filters the email will show up in Gmail.

I appreciate it. I have filters, everything is set, I'll follow up with gmail.

Hello Jeremy,

There was a fix done to the system today which may improve you receiving email. I had not found this issue before today, but wanted to give you this update in case this was the problem. Please let me know if you experience an improvement and the vanishing email issue goes away.

Thanks!

Abraham
