News: Creative COW Video Podcasts Earn 8 of Top 10 Positions On Apple iTunes
Key Technology Industries Rely Extensively On Creative COW “How-To” and “Tech” Video Podcasts
(Los Angeles, California--February 4, 2011) CreativeCOW.net (Communities of the World), the leading online peer-to-peer hub for media production professionals in film, broadcast, and related fields, is setting the industry benchmark with its array of free Video Podcasts available on Apple’s iTunes. On January 31st, Creative COW video podcasts held all of the top 6 spots in the “Software How-to” category, as well as 8 of the top 10, and a total of 17 of the top 100 podcasts. No other publisher had more than 4 podcasts in the top 100.
Additionally, in the overall “Technology” category of video podcasts, Creative COW held 5 of the top 10 positions, and 15 of the top 100. This is ahead of publishers that include c|net, O’Reilly, Wired, PBS, the New York Times, Engadget and NPR. None of these publishers had podcasts in the top 10, and combined, had fewer podcasts in the top 100 than Creative COW.
Creative COW podcasts were also featured as 3 of the top 4 “New and Notable” podcasts on the front page of the iTunes “Software How-to” section.
“Podcasts represent one of the primary content formats in the rapidly expanding world of mobile devices, and Creative COW has set a new standard for reaching podcast viewers,” says Creative COW CEO Ronald Lindeboom. “We have been honored to see the market’s high level of adoption of our podcasts and how they’ve pushed them to the top of the rankings pile. It’s been an amazing thing to watch, especially when we’re competing against many international publishing giants.”
“This is the latest example of Creative COW’s ability to reach the largest audiences on all of the media platforms we serve,” Lindeboom continues.
“Creative COW’s podcast content is regularly updated, and we have two new podcasts in the works. The first is focused on Sony Vegas, an industry-leading video and audio editing system from Sony Media Software, followed by a new podcast for users of Apple Motion, the 3D effects and graphics animation program that is part of Apple’s Final Cut Studio.”
Creative COW is setting standards in the print world as well, with Creative COW Magazine. In its first 5 years, the entertainment technology magazine stemming from the success of CreativeCOW.net, is leading its industry category in both circulation and advertising. Creative COW Magazine has eclipsed its competitors, and is now decisively the media production community’s largest and most influential B-to-B magazine.
