You still need to install the Cuda driver in addition to the Nvidia driver to get GPU acceleration. However, be aware that many using it with Yosemite are having issues. I'm still working under Mavericks, and all is fine.

Pulling out the AppleMXFimport component didn't fix it. I followed the first approach (pull everything out, run the update, copy back the third party plug-ins) and that seems to be OK. This is on a Mavericks machine. - Oliver

Yes, the AJA T-Tap works perfectly with Media 100 in Mavericks! I'm using it with my 2011 17 inch MacBook Pro. Make sure you use the 10.6.1 driver, though. According to Floh, the new 12.1 unified driver does not work with Media 100.

Mabel, FCP7 is a 32bit application and as such can only address a theoretical 4gig of ram, in practice 2.5gigs. So it doesn't matter how much ram you throw at it, it can't use any more. FCP7 is not processor aware, so it cant use the extra processor
