Im still on Mavericks, so its not really an OS issue. It was more a general question rather than a specific problem, I just need to remember and work smarter (image sizes, etc). :-)

Missed that. It usually pays to keep your OSX version and FCPX version in sync so as to avoid any potential weird stuff happening... you should ideally be running FCPX 10.1 on a Mavericks system, or maybe Yosemite for the later 10.1.x versions.

I still use DVDSP where you'd use your 29.97 mv2 and ac3 to create the track on the DVD. DVDSP works in Mavericks. I haven't tried it in Yosemite.
