The highest OS I have with FCP is Mountain Lion, but I think it's just the way Canon have 'filed' their software. I see no reason why it wouldn't work with Mavericks.

delete your Premiere Pro preferences, ensure that you're on the latest version of Premiere Pro CS6 hopefully that helps. Remember that CS6 is not officially supported on Mavericks.

Motion 4 and Mavericks should be fine. I'd check the usual suspects, trash prefs, repair permissions, etc. try a new project and see if it's just the one project causing the problem. Why not drop the $50 on Motion 5? Or are you still using FCP 7?

I would DEFINITELY revert to Mavericks. Yosemite is bad news, especially for AE. Yosemite is NOT Apple's best effort, not by a long shot. I think Jobs is turning over in his grave.
