The best EDL manipulation software I ever used was Shotlister by Digiteyes, an Australian company. It ran on a Win machine (everything from Win3.1 to the latest and also under WINE in Linux) It converted an EDL into a column based graphica interface. You could copy an audio track to a video track and then create a new EDL which had audio edits mapped to video.

The company is no more but I know the principal and just a few weeks ago I suggested he post a free version of the software up for just this sort of thing. An alternative would be to contact me directly and I could run your EDLs through and map the video track to make a new EDL.
