to fix burned out skies, dark shadows, fog, etc, make 3 adjustment layers in a sandwich and set their transfer modes to the following:
1. normal
2. multiply
3. normal
on all 3 layers, play with how curves compress/expand inside the 3 layers.

-use bloom to hide clipped artifacts or a fast blur to blur just highlights with luma matte
-use color transfer mode white output to soft clip saturation.
-use black/white/midtone 3d white balance with HSL geometric balancing/histogram scopes
-stay away from luts lower than 64 cube.
-use neatvideo to remove grain
-use motiontrack to grade individual objects
