Is there a quality (final film) difference between Optimized Media & Original Media? FCPX 10.4.8

I do all of my Documentary wedding films on my iMac. When finished i delete the Optimized Media and copy the entire library (Original & Proxy Media) to an external hard drive for another editor to make the highlight film.

So the 2nd editor will have the Original Media and Proxy Media (which I'm not even sure if he needs the Proxy Files at this point) to work with. When he exports 1080p file / video, will the quality suffer because he didn't use Optimized instead?

I have exported a film both ways and the size is identical.

Thanks!
