So I don't get the gripe. In legacy, it took forever to open projects if you had a lot of bins and media. But you probably wouldn't have had multiple projects for a film. Or perhaps you would. So, no different here. If you wanted to have multiple events (like I've said, they're more like a legacy project than a X project is - event is the new project and project sort of a new sequence) you could. And to put it all together in the end, in FCP 7 you'd have to open multiple projects, and in X you'd have to mount multiple events. I don't really see much difference logistically between the two, except that X gives you more options for keeping track of projects than 7, which had none.
