The current version of Catalyst Edit is NOTHING like SVP. I have been an SVP user since SVP 6, and have watched the air go out on this little balloon. I'm not surprised, since Adobe really upped their game and has pretty much taken over the universe. Without a bazillion dollar developer budget, Sony Creative will die a painful death. We saw the same thing happen with FCP, when the geeks lost control and gave it over to the marketing people. In the end, I will change to Adobe CC, since I'm also a web developer and use many of the tools found in AI and PS. I say that sadly, since I have many little-known tools I use in my projects, like XARA software, but I will now change to a complete Adobe suite. I wouldn't waste one more second on Sony Creative. Start learning Adobe and move along with the crowd.
